UIS Opens New Art Exhibit

Local art is blossoming right here in Springfield. This past week, the Visual Arts Gallery at the University of Illinois campus here in Springfield hosted a reception for a showing of local. The showing, hosted at the Gallery at UIS, featured an exhibit titled Mirror, Mirror.  

The pieces in the exhibition highlight both artist’s separate approaches to storytelling and self-image. 

When asked about how students and faculty can benefit from the exhibit, a representative from the gallery had this to say:

“It’s a space where education is supplemented in a visual way. The students and faculty can call from that as a resource”.
