Uber Generates a Positive Response from Locals

Springfield Illinois is known for it’s historic background, but since the increase in the young professional’s community there is more interest in the bar and night life scenes that the city has to offer.

 This poses an issue for many people as Springfield is notorious for having bad Yellow Cab services with wait times as long as an hour.

 Uber started in Springfield a year ago with fares comparable to local cab services but with quicker response times.

 Since the start of Uber there is a positive response from the locals, who are grateful to get rides home quickly and efficiently. Jacque Moole, a Springfield local says, “I was thrilled when Uber finally came to Springfield, it’s so nice to be able to go out and not worry about how I’m getting home. I always have a safe and reliable form of transportation and I never have to worry about drinking and driving.”

 According to Springfield police, Uber has assisted in the decline of DUI’s and other related accidents in the area.
