U.I.S. students face problems with bugs in the east campus apartments. The bugs not only cover the doors but also fly inside apartments. U.I.S. housing contacted Orkin Pest Control Service multiple times, however they can only check houses for nests. Different solutions given to students by Orkin workers include bug spray and stepping on the bugs. U.I.S. student Faith Edwards discusses her opinion on the bugs. "The bug situation is a little annoying because I’m natural one so bugs get in my hair and two it’s just annoying like I pay almost 4 thousand dollars to live here and I can’t through the door because there’s massive spiders blocking my way." Orkin claims that construction of the student union and warmer weather is a part of the bug problem. With temperatures dropping, students should slowly see a decrease in bugs.
