By Erica Thomas  As the holiday season kick off, Friend in Deed volunteers prepare to Help central Illinois families. Application are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Edith Cole, longtime volunteer explains more about the program. Friend in deed is an excellent program, it helps needy families by providing food. Years ago, we used to provide toys and clothing, but because of the economics of it were not able to do that like we used to, now we feed more families than we used to.
